MISSION:
To grow Benjamin Moore product sales within a defined Hardware territory (MN & WI) and act as a consultant, advisor and facilitator with our Retailers to ensure effective delivery of our products, programs and services.
Major Responsibilities
Develop Effective Working Relationship With Retailers
* Provide regular support through telephone contact
* Communicate all key issues, initiatives, programs in a timely and effective manner
* Ensure adherence to program expectations and requirements
* Be the go to person for questions or issues to be addressed
* Learn about the Retailers business
* Become a trusted advisor
* Develop effective working relationships with the key store managers and the store professionals
* Develop yearly / seasonal plans with specific objectives and targets
* Analyze sales and offer feedback and suggestions
* Identify additional sales opportunities for the retailer and for Benjamin Moore within the retailers business
* Conduct store visits with specific objectives and outcomes
Optimize the Benjamin Moore Brand at Retail
o Be a regular presence within key retailers stores
o Encourage and support the highest retailing standards within the paint department
o Conduct best practice reviews and create individualized retailer development plans
o Provide hands on support for the implementation of retail programs and marketing events
o Provide ongoing training through personal contact, store meetings and planned Represent the Benjamin Moore brand in the store
o Lead in store marketing and promotional events
Provide Feedback and Analysis of Small Retailers Development
+ Provide regular feedback and analysis of the ongoing success of our Small Retailers program
+ Bring forward issues and opportunities for growth
+ Participate as part of the Hardware team

Requirements |
Core Competencies
* Exceptional communication skills (face to face, in group settings, on phone)
* Strong verbal and writing skills
* Ability to develop strong professional relationships
* Effective trainer with a basic understanding of adult learning principles
* Able to work effectively with retail store owners, store managers, store professionals and corporate teammates
* Strong group presentation skills
* Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and timelines
* Working knowledge of the coatings industry including application techniques, and use of paint equipment
* Understanding of retail best practices including merchandising, store design, department layout, category assortment, retail pricing, visual merchandising, and retail operations
* Provide guidance and support in retail marketing
* Customer service experience including the ability to lead in store marketing events
* Ability to develop, implement and evaluate a game plan designed to achieve desired objectives
* Territory includes MN and WI (approximately) and ideal Rep would live within the territory, specifically in MN or WI.
